E-invoicing software built into your invoices and books

Cash Flow Inventory turns an approved invoice into the structured e-invoice your country asks for — Peppol / EN 16931, XRechnung, KSeF, ZATCA, India GST, MyInvois, CFDI and others — through a localisation pack you switch on. Each file is checked against the published rules first, and the profiles are built to the published specification, not certified: every file says so.

Reviewed 5 November 2026 against the current version of the app.

The problems it solves

  • Mandates are arriving

The EU adopted VAT in the Digital Age on 11 March 2025: structured e-invoices (EN 16931) and digital reporting for intra-EU trade from 1 July 2030 (European Commission, 2025).

  • A PDF is no longer an invoice

In more and more countries a tax invoice must be a structured file, sent through an approved network or the tax office, with its own reference number and QR code.

  • Rules that differ by country

Each format has its own identifiers, rate codes, correction rules and cancellation windows. Getting one field wrong means a refused invoice and a customer who cannot book it.

How e-invoicing works in Cash Flow Inventory

  1. Switch on your country’s pack

In Settings › Localization & packs, turn on the pack and fill in its fields: your tax number and the identifiers the format needs, and your buyers’ details on each customer.

  2. Approve the invoice as usual

The invoice is the same one that posted to your books. On an approved invoice, choose “E-invoice…” to build the file for your pack.

  3. Checked before anything is sent

The file is checked rule by rule against the format’s published rules — EN 16931, the national rules, the official schema — and a problem shows the rule it broke.

  4. Connect your tax portal or network

In the e-invoice window’s Tax portal block, connect your access point, platform or tax office. Until it is connected, sending is a mock and is labelled as one; keys and tokens are kept sealed and never shown.

  5. Correct with a credit note

An issued e-invoice is never edited. A credit note in the format your pack uses references the original, and cancellation at the tax office is offered only where that country allows it.

What you can do

  • Peppol and EN 16931

European Union — Peppol BIS 3.0 UBL checked against EN 16931; Belgium — B2B Peppol with Belgian rules and the structured payment reference; Singapore — InvoiceNow (Peppol PINT SG); United Arab Emirates — Peppol PINT AE. Sending is a mock until your access point (in the UAE, an accredited service provider) is connected.

  • Germany and France

Germany — XRechnung 3.0 (UBL or CII) or ZUGFeRD 2.3, checked against EN 16931 and the BR-DE rules. France — Factur-X, CII or UBL for a plateforme agréée, with e-reporting; proven against an emulator of the AFNOR standard, not yet a real platform.

  • Clearance countries

Saudi Arabia — ZATCA (FATOORA): onboarding, signing and clearing or reporting once you connect. Poland — KSeF 2.0 FA(3), returning the KSeF number and the official receipt (UPO) once connected. Mock until connected in both.

  • Asia and the Americas

India — GST e-invoice with IRN and signed QR (mock IRP until a GSP is connected). Malaysia — MyInvois (LHDNM). Mexico — CFDI 4.0 stamped by your PAC. Peru — SUNAT CPE factura and boleta. Each is a mock until connected.

  • Proven against emulators

Kenya — KRA eTIMS: proven against an emulator of KRA’s OSCU specification v2.0. Brazil — NF-e 4.00 (SEFAZ): proven against an emulator of SEFAZ’s web services. Türkiye — e-Fatura / e-Arşiv (UBL-TR): proven against an emulator of the integrator’s API. None yet with a real account.

  • Received e-invoices

In Germany, France and Türkiye, supplier e-invoices arrive in “Received e-invoices” above the bills list. Each is checked, kept exactly as received, and becomes a bill only when a person reviews and saves it — nothing posts automatically.

  • Cancellation where allowed

India within 24 hours of the IRN, Brazil within 24 hours, Malaysia within 72 hours, Peru within 7 days, Mexico with SAT’s motive, Türkiye for e-Arşiv only. Cancelling at the tax office never changes your books — you credit or void the invoice in the app as well.

  • Never counted twice

A send that did not arrive is retried with the same file — for ZATCA, KSeF and eTIMS nothing is counted twice; for MyInvois a lost answer is found by searching, never sent again.

  • Tax returns from the same documents

Country forms — UK VAT 100 (filed through Making Tax Digital), India GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, the Saudi VAT return, UAE VAT201, Bangladesh Mushak-9.1 — worked out box by box; filing freezes a snapshot and a correction is an amendment.

Where it is not the right fit

  • A country that requires a certified e-invoice or fiscal device the app does not yet cover — the national profiles are built to the published specification and are not certified.
  • A business that needs an e-invoice connection proven with a real account on day one: several are proven only against an emulator or a sandbox, and should be tested with your provider’s sandbox before going live.
  • The United Kingdom has no e-invoice format in the app: UK invoices print as usual, and VAT returns go through Making Tax Digital.
  • Restaurants and cafés: table service, kitchen display and recipe costing are not its focus.

Questions and answers

What is e-invoicing software?

Software that issues invoices as structured files in the format a country or network requires — such as Peppol UBL, XRechnung, KSeF FA(3) or CFDI — and sends them through the approved route. In Cash Flow Inventory the e-invoice is made from the approved invoice that already posted to your books.

Which countries and formats are covered?

India GST e-invoice; Saudi Arabia ZATCA (FATOORA); European Union Peppol / EN 16931; Mexico CFDI 4.0; Singapore InvoiceNow; UAE Peppol PINT AE; Malaysia MyInvois; Peru SUNAT CPE; Türkiye e-Fatura / e-Arşiv; Poland KSeF 2.0; Belgium B2B Peppol; Germany XRechnung / ZUGFeRD; France facturation électronique; Kenya KRA eTIMS; Brazil NF-e 4.00. There are also packs for Bangladesh VAT, UK VAT (Making Tax Digital), UK Corporation Tax (CT600), and the M-Pesa, Pix and ACH payment rails.

Is the e-invoicing certified?

No. The national profiles are built to the published specification and are not certified, and every file says so. Until you connect your access point, platform or tax office, sending is a mock. France, Kenya, Brazil and Türkiye are proven against emulators of the official specifications, not yet with a real account.

Is it ready for Peppol and the EU VAT in the Digital Age rules?

The EU pack builds Peppol BIS 3.0 UBL and checks it against EN 16931, the standard VAT in the Digital Age names for intra-EU e-invoices from 1 July 2030. Sending needs your Peppol access point to be connected.

Can I receive e-invoices from suppliers?

Yes, in the German, French and Turkish packs. They arrive in “Received e-invoices” above the bills list (a German XRechnung or ZUGFeRD file sent by e-mail can be uploaded), are checked and kept as received, and become a bill only when a person reviews it.

How do I correct or cancel an e-invoice?

An issued e-invoice is never edited: you issue a credit note in your pack’s format that references it. Where the country allows cancellation — India, Brazil, Malaysia, Peru, Mexico and Türkiye’s e-Arşiv — “Cancel at the tax office” is in the e-invoice window, within that country’s time limit.

Does cancelling an e-invoice change my books?

No. Cancelling at the tax office only cancels it there. To reverse the sale in your books too, issue a credit note or void the invoice in the app.
